Cameron Trip 22-Feb-09 (Day 2)

Slept peacefully throughout the night.. no worries.. no nothing...

woke up at around 10+ and this is what i see outside the balcony..

Left side was beautiful.. right side is getting gloomy..

Went for breakfast... had Roti Janai (we call it Roti Prata) for breakfast.. very crispy!!

It's so crispy that the guy can use a chopper to chop the prata.

Nasi Lemak was great too!!
so nice we had it for 2 mornings in a row..

walked back to the apartment and saw a few flowers.. such a relaxing place..

went to Boh Tea plantation for a visit
parking outside the centre.. if u drive.. u will not be able to park here..

Had some cakes and drink at the cafe..
Wasn't up to expectations though (in other words.. not nice lah..)

Next stop: Strawberry farm

I've seen quite a number of ppl posting about Cameron trips but this is the first time I am actually at the farm.. Actually, I'm not a strawberry person.. but that seems to the craze here.. so I just follow along loh..
Anyway, touring is all about exploring, isn't it?

Weather wasn't very good.. and the slope is quite steep on the way to this farm..
It's called the Big Red Strawberry Farm and Gift Shop.

No joke man... within secs.. we were all covered by rain clouds..

The veggies and fruits in the farm looks very fresh.. probably because of the climate here...

There's also a nursery here.. not sure what are the plants/flowers though

They say this cactus has been around for a long time.
Went over to the cafe and got ourselves lots of strawberry snacks..
I think this place is for the strawberry siaos.. everything also strawberry-related..
from food to cushions/soft toys to jam & biscuits..

Again, the siao kia wants to eat ice-cream in cold weather.. =)After this, we went back to our apartment.. looks like the storm is going to be very heavy.. luckily we were back before much damage can be done on us.. haha..

We rested first and wait for the rain to clear before going out for dinner..

But for bikers.. when the rain has clear.. they go n clean their bikes first !!
Went for dinner after this.. today, we have decided to go for zhi cha instead of steamboat..
Still ok in my opinion.. the cold weather here makes u hungry easily.. and their veggies are always so fresh.. when you bite.. it just crunches in your mouth..
Nothing fantasic so I'm not going to show you any photos on it..

Cameron Trip 21-Feb-09 (Day 1)

wow.. finally i have decided to post this up!

Hey hey.. it's a surprise that the ger decided to go with me on this trip.. (she was complaining too far lah.. backside pain lah.. and she will never ever go to Cameron highlands... wahaha...)

What a surprise when she agreeded to go together on this trip.. (otherwise I will just go without her and she's going to miss out on all the fun as usual.. =P)

Met up with the folks at 530am at GP Petronas..
Did all the standard stuff (pump petrol.. tok cok.. briefing.. take photos)

After the briefing, we move off to first stop.. Ayer Hitam for breakfast.. it was a beautiful morning when we reach there...

After breakfast, we move on to the boring NSH.. stopping for another 3 times.. there was a roadblock after Ayer Keroh.. luckily they did not shoot me.. so I was waved on.. wasn't so lucky later on after Seremban.. There was a hidden camera and I was caught speeding.. another RM$300 in the list..

Finally we reach Ipoh town.. We were going by the newer Tapah route up..
It's further up but the roads are nicer to ride..

Just in time for lunch.. I had Ipoh horfun for the first time in my life..

It was terribly hot at Ipoh.. We rested for a while and decided to move up the mountains...

Finally we reach the place that we are staying called Country Lodge.

Yeah.. we have arrived!!

Rested for the afternoon.. and we met up again to go for steamboat dinner in the cooling weather.. shoick~!

After steamboat, we went to the night market for a walk.. This night market is special because it is only opened on Fri and Sat nights only..

Had another 2 double scope ice cream for the night before going back to bed... sibei shoick man.. to eat ice-cream in the cold weather... really enjoyed this kind of feeling..
